Air Conditioning

Install Cost

INSTALL COST:

The cost of an air conditioning system can vary depending on several factors such as the size of the home, the efficiency and brand of the unit, and the location of the furnace. For most homes the average price is between $3500 to $5500.

MATCHED SYSTEM:

Although most modern furnaces will work with a new air conditioner, Trane recommends replacing the furnace and air conditioner at the same time for the highest efficiency. We offer additional savings when investing in a furnace and air conditioner package. Package systems average between $6300 to $10000.

EFFICIENCY:

With rising electric prices, you may want to consider a high efficiency AC unit to lower your monthly electric bill. Over time a high efficiency unit pays for itself and puts money in your pocket each month with lower utility bills.

CRAWL SPACE OR ATTIC:

If your furnace is located in a crawlspace or attic, the price may be slightly higher than if its located in a basement. This is because of additional ductwork, electrical, and mechanical components such as adding a condensate pump. Give us a call for a free price estimate.

PREWIRED FOR AC:

If your home is prewired for AC with electric and refrigerant lines, the install cost will be lower. An electrical permit is still required for prewired houses, but you will save several hundred dollars.

PRICES:

The cost of materials rises every year. With the recent events of COVID-19, prices are rising at a faster pace than usual. We recommend purchasing your system before the next price increase.

Furnace

Replacement Cost

INSTALL COST:

The cost of a furnace replacement can vary depending on several factors such as the size of the furnace, the efficiency and brand of the unit, and the location of the furnace. For most homes the average price is between $2800 to $4500 for an 80% AFUE furnace.

LIFE EXPECTANCY:

Furnaces are designed to last 20 - 25 years. If your furnace is over 20 years old and you are ready for an estimate to replace your furnace give us a call.

EFFICIENCY:

The minimum requirement for furnaces is 80% efficiency. Part of the heat (20%) is carried out of the flue pipe with the exhaust.  Higher efficiency furnaces are available up to 98%, however the existing metal flue pipe has to be replaced with PVC or similar material because of the moisture. If you currently have a high efficiency furnace the replacement is an easy process.

TWO STAGE FURNACE:

If you are looking for a way to save on utilities, a two stage furnace may be right for you. The furnace will operate on low heat and low fan when it starts. If the home requires more heat, the furnace will  run at full heat until the house is warm and start back with the low heat when the furnace starts again.

PRICES:

The cost of materials rises every year. With the recent events of COVID-19, prices are rising at a faster pace than normal. We recommend purchasing your system before the next price increase.
